The world has a lot of stuff that makes it dangerous, but one of the most dangerous things is sexual orientation and gender identity.

The World Bank has estimated that the death toll from HIV/AIDS in 2015 was 5.7 million, and another 4.4 million are living with HIV/AIDs, a total that would make the World War I trenches look like a family picnic.

If you’ve ever been in a bar, you’ve likely heard stories of a drunk man or a woman, or worse, a gay or bisexual man or woman, being kicked out of the place for what was perceived to be the most heinous of sins.
